Welcome back Dr. Vanek. Once back to Mentor, Ohio Dr. Vanek was interview by reports from the News Herald and the Plain Dealer. In the interview Dr. Vanek descirbed watching the piece he saw on CNN about a girl who died as her family tried to resuce her from the rubble by attempting amputations with power tools. I was compelled to write you this letter acknoleging your work in Haiti. I was so touched by your generosity that it brought me to tears. I n a time when there is so much violence in our world it is wonderful to see there are so many caring people. Just when you think times are terrible a person like you steps up to bat, and gives of his time and money. I’m sure there is a special place in heaven for people like you.
