Tummy Tuck Timing

Tummy Tuck Timing Article in News Herald

Pregnancy at any age can take its toll on the shape of your breasts or abdomen. More-so with each subsequent baby. Whether you are in your early 20’s or late 30’s it is still hard to get back the figure you had prior to pregnancy. I see the anguish and recrimination you go through thinking you can workout enough to make your stomach flat and your breasts firm up or gain more volume. Once you have lost the baby weight, if you are lucky enough to do so, your exercise efforts tone your muscles but do not restore the abdomen fascia to a flat state. When you are within 10% of your weight loss goal but not seeing your body have the shape you want, it is reasonable for you and me to talk over your mommy make-over goals. Whether it is reshaping your breast or abdomen alone or in combination, your recovery will be custom analyzed based upon your specific goals taking into account your current responsibilities, temperament, and life experience!

PS If you’ve waited long enough to see if things will change on their own, give my office a call and inquire about some details.

Breast Asymmetry on Think Health Sunday

Saturday, October 15th, 2011

Think Health the new show featuring Dr. Vanek will discuss Breast Asymmetry this Sunday. Check it out.

Did you know that research at the University of Texas noted that 88% of women studied had breast asymmetry.  Breast surgeons recently polled at the American Society of Plastic surgeons, held in Denver agreed that the results underestimated asymmetry of the breast by about 12%.  Astoundingly, women do not appreciate how frequently their breasts are asymmetric until pointed out to them in clinical exams. If you would like more informationon Breast Asymmetry turn to  WKYC Channel 3 this Sunday @10:26am.

Breast Cancer Awareness Paul Vanek

Breast Cancer Awareness  Naturally Phenomenal

Breast conservation and radiation is often an option for those who have invasive cancer. Often the irradiated breast looks symmetric with the untreated one for many years, but over time may shrink down and look different or hurt. Women who have an implant reconstruction can experience thickening of their breast capsule as a late consequence of irradiation. The solution to this is to import your natural tissue from the low abdomen and move it up into the breast area to give you a natural, supple, volume-matched result. It is called a TRAM breast reconstruction. An added bonus of TRAM reconstruction is that you get a tummy tuck out of the “donor site” in the low abdomen area. Some women do not opt for any reconstruction at the time of their mastectomy because they are so worried about just surviving the cancer and chemotherapy regimen. In that circumstance, I will be there for you when you are ready.

PS The Breast Reconstruction Act of 1998, for which I lobbied Congress in person, covers the treatment of the opposite breast to improve symmetry with any breast reconstruction.

National MS Society and Dr. Vanek

Dr. Vanek biked his way 75 miles to Sandusky this weekend to support the MS Pedal to the Point Ride. The ride started on Saturday August 13, and bikers made their way to Sandusky arriving around 6pm that evening.  Starting off the next morning at 7am they biked 75 miles in heavy downpours of rain to arrive safely back to their starting point.

Dr. Vanek’s friend Ron Cola who has accompanied him on past rides for MS is a pancreatic cancer survivor and Dr. Vanek rides on his behalf. Dr, Vanek encourages everyone to support this worthwhile event and even if they can’t bike, donations are greatly appreciated.

It is the determination and dedication of our riders and their fundraising donations that makes Bike MS such an extraordinary event.

Although the ride has come to an end, you can still make a difference by continuing to collect contributions.  Any additional contributions can be sent to: National MS Society, ATTN: Bike MS, 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 202, Independence, OH 44131. Donations may still be collected through November 30, 2011

Channel 3 WKYC and Dr. Vanek

Monday, August 15th, 2011

Dr. Vanek recently spent the day at Channel 3 WKYC studios in downtown Cleveland. He was taping his segment for the Saturday morning show “ It’s About You” featuring Dr. Vanek’s  private skin care line Vanek Cosmeceuticals.

Dr. Vanek spoke about a few of our products including Amino-Lift Peptide a unique combination of advanced amino acids and plant-derived neuropeptides help to minimize the look of facial expressions lines and wrinkles, especially crow’s feet, forehead lines and lines around the mouth. (has a botox like effect).

He spoke also about our Face Firming Complex: This concentrated firming complex supplements the skin-rebuilding ability with DMAE, Alpha-Lipoic Acid, Co-Enzyme Q-10 and vitamin C EEster as well as other essential antioxidants and botanicals to firm tighten and lift the skin of the face and neck. Reduces wrinkles and fine lines on the face, eye and neck area.

Thirdly was Botanical Bio-Peptide Concentrate which is a triple action concentrate of non-irritating emollient ingredients and high-tech botanicals which work together to produce both an immediate moisturizing effect as well as long-term benefits. This product features 3% Matrixyl, the amino peptide that moisturizes and conditions in a novel skin-friendly manner. Another great feature about this product is that clinical testing showed a 68% reduction of deep surface wrinkles over a two-month period.

Lastly Dr. Vanek spoke about our sun protection Phyto Protect SFP25. This Micronized titanium dioxide provides a broad-spectrum transparent barrier against UVA/UVB rays.  A unique phyto-complex improves the appearance of fine lines while minimizing the short-term negative effects of harmful UV rays.
