Arriving Haiti Airport

Wednesday January 20, 2010 Dr. Vanek along with Dr. Jack Fitzgerald, Jean Kurdas,RN and Theresa Jackson,RN arrive in Haiti. They are set-up at the airport with the Medi-Share group and surrounded by military.

Saturday January 16, 2010 Dr. Vanek contacts family, friends and staff that he is going to Haiti to help with the relief work.

Monday January 18, 2010 Dr. Vanek is busy with surgery cases at the Mentor Surgery Center, seeing his patients at the office, returning numerous phone calls and television interviews.
We began collecting donations via the phone and in person supports come in with boxes and boxes of medical supplies (gauze, syringes, medicine, baby clothes, etc). Several volunteers were called in to help with the shipping needs for such an unbelievable display of medical items that filled three shipping pallets.
Dr. Vanek meets Jean Kurdas, RN and Theresa Jackson, RN whom are traveling to Haiti with him. Dr. Jack Fitzgerald came to our office to coordinate with Dr. Vanek the last minute details of their trip.

Tuesday January 19, 2010 Dr. Vanek leaves Cleveland airport for a flight to Miami, Florida. The connecting flight to Haiti was missed and the team had an overnight stay in Miami.dvd1
