Sciton ProFractional™
One of the most popular treatments today, fractional resurfacing with the Sciton ProFractional™ laser improves a wide range of specific skin conditions as well as the overall appearance of your skin.
Dr. Vanek uses the ProFractional laser to treat:

This in-office procedure that Dr. Vanek likens to "aerating the lawn," uses a tiny laser beam to penetrate deeply into thousands of pinpoint areas of your skin, so only a "fraction" of your skin needs to be directly exposed to the laser energy. The areas of untreated skin then promote the body’s natural wound healing process, and the treated areas stimulate new collagen production, which adds firmness and resilience.
Your skin's appearance will be smoother and tighter after just one treatment, though more are recommended for the best results. Dr. Vanek will give instruction on specific post-treatment care to protect your skin and reduce swelling. Healing usually occurs within a few days, and you should feel comfortable enough to return to work a day or two after treatment. Sciton MicroLaserPeel™
The MicroLaserPeel uses the Sciton laser to precisely remove the very thin outermost layer of the skin. This accuracy in the depth of the laser setting allows Dr. Vanek to achieve the best results for you with the least amount of downtime and little discomfort. The procedure can be performed in our office and will improve your skin's texture, reduce wrinkles and improve evenness of skin tone.
The MicroLaserPeel procedure can be used to treat fine lines and mild wrinkles, acne scars, keratoses and hyperpigmentation. Excellent improvement can be seen after even a single treatment, however to maximize results, Dr. Vanek may recommend a series of two to four treatments spaced four to six weeks apart for optimal outcome.
You will notice that your skin has a "frosty" appearance immediately after your first treatment, which is the dehydrated upper layer of skin that will flake and peel away within a few days. You should feel comfortable enough to return to work after three to four days and will see the resulting improvement in texture and color tone at the same time.
Sciton SkinTyte™
The SkinTyte™ treatment uses pulsed light technology to heat your skin's deepest layers of collagen which causes it to contract and then produce a new collagen foundation. The result for you is firmer, more youthful-looking skin provided quickly and comfortably with no downtime. This treatment is ideal for patients who desire moderate, noticeable skin tone improvement without having to undergo surgery.
SkinTyte uses a powerful cooling system that maintains the outer surface of your skin at a safe and comfortable temperature while the deeper layers are being treated. There is usually no need for topical anesthetic and the whole procedure typically takes about 30 minutes for face and neck. Dr. Vanek usually recommends a series of five monthly SkinTyte treatments for optimum results. Since the SkinTyte procedure involves the rebuilding of your skin's collagen, you will begin to see results during the series and full results at about three months after completion which last years.

Sciton ClearScan™ Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal using the state-of-the-art Sciton® ClearScan™ laser technology selectively targets hair follicles, safely and effectively removing unwanted hair. The laser energy from the computer-guided ClearScan is able to quickly and evenly treat many hairs at once, which allows gentle treatment of large areas of skin. ClearScan laser hair removal is safe for all skin types from dark to light and can be used on tanned skin as well.
The number of treatments required varies among patients and our aesthetician will personalize a treatment plan for you based on your individual needs and desired results. The time needed for each treatment will depend on the size of the area. A topical anesthetic can be applied for the procedure if necessary, though the continuous cooling feature of ClearScan should ensure your comfort. Then, after your treatments are completed, you can throw out that razor and say goodbye to the endless routine of shaving. You can expect and 85% permanent reduction in hair size and quality at the end of a treatment series.
Sciton Phototherapy/BBL™ – BroadBand Light
BBL™ BroadBand Light is a new approach to phototherapy that helps treat skin conditions that are a result of aging, sun damage and active life-styles. BBL energy allows us to precisely treat age and sun spots, facial spider veins as well as many other skin conditions. The BBL delivers light energy that gently heats the upper layers of skin which stimulates cells to produce new collagen, thus helping restore your skin to the younger-looking, smoother tones you desire. The photothermal energy will also get rid of those fine blood vessels that cause unwanted redness as well as reduce excess melanin which can produce pigmented lesions.
BBL BroadBand Light can be used to treat skin on all areas of your body. The number of treatments will vary depending on how many areas are involved. Our aesthetician will determine a treatment plan for you based on your individual needs. The procedure itself is gentle, non-invasive, safe and there is usually no need for a topical anesthetic. Though there is no downtime associated with this procedure, you will need to avoid exposure to direct sunlight until your skin has fully healed. Fine lines and pores will be less noticeable, and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will fade, leaving your treated skin smoother and more youthful and vibrant.
Diolite 532
Diolite 532 is an effective tool in the treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions. A vascular lesion is formed by abnormally large or numerous blood vessels located directly under the surface of the skin. These vessels may be visible through the skin or result in a red appearance of the skin including facial spider veins, cherry and spider angiomas and rosacea. A pigmented lesion is an overabundance of dark pigmentation which form freckles, brown age spots, and moles.
Diolite 532 generates an intense beam of light that is absorbed by oxyhemoglobin (bright red blood cells carrying oxygen) and melanin/pigment (black or brown pigment found in the skin) causing decomposition or destruction by heat of unwanted cells, while leaving healthy cells intact.
The treatment offers minimal to no discoloration, swelling, or complications, and is typically performed without anesthesia or pain. Final treatment results should be evident within 10-14 days after treatment for vascular lesions, and within two to three weeks after treatment for pigmented lesion.
